Attorney General Greg Abbott Endorses Rep. John V. Garza

Helotes, TX- Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott endorsed State Representative John V. Garza at a grassroots event today, Tuesday, May 15 at El Chaparral Restaurant in Helotes. All members of the community were invited to attend to meet Gen. Abbott and Rep. Garza.

"John Garza is a proven leader," Gen. Abbott said. "He is at the forefront of the fight to create new jobs, promote economic development and to improve education and access to educational opportunities. His constituent service is second to none. No one serves or can serve the people of District 117 better than John V. Garza. I'm proud to endorse him for re-election and urge you to vote for him in November."

Greg Abbott is the 50th Attorney General of Texas. His accomplishments as Attorney General include creating a Fugitive Unit to arrest sex offenders who have violated their parole and a Cyber Crimes Unit to arrest those who use the internet to lure children into compromising situations. He has also fought to end elder abuse and has collected over $21 billion in child support for the children of Texas. He served on the Texas Supreme Court and as a State District Judge prior to his election as Attorney General. He and his wife Cecilia live in Austin with their daughter Audrey.

John V. Garza is the State Representative for District 117, including northwest Bexar County and the Helotes area. He lives and works in District 117 and has always been active in his community.
