A Lesson to Learn

Issues:

What happened in the San Antonio Mayoral Election on June 13th is an excellent example of what happens when conservatives (who do not necessarily agree on every single issue), moderates and independents JOIN hands and defeat the progressive agenda. I can just feel deep admiration and gratefulness to many of my dear friends who worked hard on Mayor Ivy Taylor's race when they realized who their options were. Read more about A Lesson to Learn

Texans Are Sojourners for Life

Issues:

Wednesday I applauded the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for ruling in favor of several health and safety provisions in Texas legislation, House Bill 2, which ensures that abortion clinics meet the safety standards of state Ambulatory Surgical Centers and requires that abortionists qualify for admitting privileges at a local hospital. House Bill 2 also bans abortions after 20 weeks. Read more about Texans Are Sojourners for Life

Congress Should Have a Say on Trade

Today I voted to give Congress and the American people control over the president’s existing power to negotiate trade agreements. Congress and the American people should have a say when it comes to trade agreements.
