Passport Services This Holiday Season

Issues:

The holiday season is one of the peak travel times for Americans around the country. If you need to acquire a passport, many passport application acceptance facilities are expanding their hours during the winter months as well as offering expedited service to ensure you receive your passport on time for your trip. To learn more about applying for a passport this holiday season you can either call my District Office at 972-392-0505 or click here. Read more about Passport Services This Holiday Season

The Christmas Spirit is Alive in Texas

Issues:

As Christmas approaches, we celebrate the most precious gift, that in the humblest of circumstances, Christ came to save the world. We pause to remember that night in Bethlehem, and to give thanks for the blessings the Lord continues to bestow upon each of us.

Across the Lone Star State, Texans are sharing the hope of the season. Read more about The Christmas Spirit is Alive in Texas

A Christmas Reminder of God's Promises To Us

Issues:

Merry Christmas to all of you! I just love this time of year, don't you? To me it's special because I know I'll be baking cookies with the kids and gathering with my family and friends over special, time honored recipes and traditions while celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Which brings me to the reason I'm writing this post today, to discuss the Christmas Story, the beautiful story we find in the books of the Bible known as the Gospels, about how a virgin named Mary was to be blessed by God to carry God's own son, Jesus. We all know it by heart, I'm sure, but it's one of those stories that I love to hear unfold over and over, time after time. Each time I read it to my kids, or read it to myself,

A Day Called Christmas

Issues:

I think that sometimes as Christians we forget the importance of offering the non-secular, evangelical expression of "Merry Christmas" to someone.

Despite what anyone or any court says, any recognition of Christmas is an affirmative and definitive statement that Father God chose to send His only Son in the form of a Man so that all mankind can be redeemed and reconciled back to Father God. To me, proclaiming "Merry Christmas" is the simplest method of proclaiming the Gospel message. Read more about A Day Called Christmas

The Far Left's Oppostion To The Second Amendment Has Gone Too Far ... Again

Issues:

As we all know, the Far Left often resorts to extreme measures to support their idea that all guns, especially handguns, are bad.

The Far Left may have set a new low in trying to make their point. In a recent video message, these Far Left activists directly encourage school children to steal a (presumably loaded) firearm from their parents' bedroom and take that same gun to school and place it on a teacher's desk. TEXAS SD26 Key to Republican/Democrat Future – ALMA PEREZ JACKSON CAN WIN!

Issues:

Native San Antonian Alma Perez Jackson is the only conservative running for Senate District 26. This is the senate seat that Liberal Leticia Van de Putte vacated to run for the mayor’s position in San Antonio. It seems the Democrats are tripping over each other to win this seat as there are at least three if not four candidates vying for this position.

Alma stands for education, economy and job growth. She is Pro Life, Pro Family, and will fight for Religious Freedom. She will work hard to make sure that Texas does not have a state income tax. Because she lives in this district she is aware of the issues that affect the voters in the area. Read more about TEXAS SD26 Key to Republican/Democrat Future – ALMA PEREZ JACKSON CAN WIN!

Lower Gas Prices Cast Shadow on Texas’ Economic Future

Issues:

Lower gas pump prices could mean a loss of jobs and lower tax revenue for the State of Texas. The rapidly dropping gasoline prices are a result of the price of oil dropping into the $55 per barrel range. The price-point hits the range where some fracking operations become unprofitable which could cause reductions in both manpower requirements and oil production revenue to the state’s treasury. The Lie: Healthcare is a Human Right

Issues:

We are told in America by the Left that healthcare is a human right. Then the Left trots out some failing European system to bolster their point.

As with most things Left, they are disingenuous liars. Healthcare is a privilege; always has been, and always will be. Ever wonder what primitive man did for healthcare?

Here’s a hint: He died! And it’s that way around much of the world. The fact is that healthcare is “earned” as a society becomes more civilized. Read more about The Lie: Healthcare is a Human Right

Sen. Cruz’s Measure Granting Purple Heart Eligibility to Fort Hood Victims Heads to President’s Desk

Issues:

Recently, I announced that the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2015 includes legislation I sponsored to allow the victims of the 2009 terrorist attack at Fort Hood to receive the Purple Heart.

The legislation, supported by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, will expand eligibility for the Purple Heart to include members of the Armed Forces who have been killed or wounded in an attack inspired or motivated by a foreign terrorist organization.
