Happy Texas Independence Day

Issues:

I rise today to commemorate a very special day in Texas history, and I would say in American history, a day that inspires pride and gratitude in my state. I rise to commemorate Texas Independence Day, which is celebrated on March 2.

Many of the Texas patriots who fought in the revolution went on to serve in the United States Congress, and Im honored to hold the seat originally held by then-general Sam Houston, but later President of the Republic and United States Senator for Texas. Read more about Happy Texas Independence Day

SD-25 Senator Donna Campbell Crushes Opponents In Wimberly Debate!

Wimberly, Texas, the quaint, seemingly quiet town was the venue for one of the SD25 forums held on February 5, 2014. Contrary to what you may have heard, Senator Donna Campbell defended her positions on the Toll Roads, Pro Life, Budget, Transportation and the Municipal Utility District (MUD) with knowledge and assertiveness against the accusations and allegations of Mike Novak and Elisa Chan.

Brian Terry's Death Exploited, Says Family

Breitbart Texas has discovered a Facebook page selling merchandise with slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s image under the guise of supporting the Brian Terry Foundation. Terry’s family, however, says not so fast—stating the page has no connection with the official foundation organized in his memory.

The Facebook page “Project: Honor First” claims to be “directly aligned with the Brian Terry Foundation in an effort to pursue the truth,

Allowing Texas Legislators to Subsidize Risk Unfairly Asks ALL Texans to Pay for Someone Else's Risk & Causes the Amount of Risk to Increase

With regards to this article in The Blaze, Capt. Brown certainly deserves the honor and respect of ALL Texans. But just because he is a remarkable soldier and has borne the ravages of battle on his body, his sacrifice DOES NOT make his opinions sacrosanct!

In reference to Brown's comments to the Realtors that he was in favor of the State of Texas subsidizing wind damage insurance for those who choose to live on the Texas Coast: Read more about Allowing Texas Legislators to Subsidize Risk Unfairly Asks ALL Texans to Pay for Someone Else's Risk & Causes the Amount of Risk to Increase

David Bellow Running for Hardin County Judge to Stop Tax Increases and Wasteful Spending

Issues:

Update: David Bellow has been endorsed by many conservative organizations and people such as Judge Paul Pressler, Pro Life Nation, American Gun Rights, Texas Home School Coalition, and many more!

Hardin County, Texas needs a new face instead of the insider tax and spend group currently in control. Hardin County needs someone who is not afraid to say no to tax increases. Hardin County needs a Strong Christian, conservative leader. This is why I, David Bellow, am running for Hardin County Judge. My opponent, Wayne McDaniel Jr., is a lifelong Democrat. He ran on the same ticket with Obama and Hillary in his most recent election. He recently switched over to Republican, along with all of the other county officials. Worst of all, in response to my campaign against tax increases, my opponent says he cannot say he will not raise taxes. The same Democrat, good old boy mentality is still here, even though everyone is Republican now. IRS Should Not Become A Campaign-Finance Regulator

I spoke on the Senate floor yesterday against a proposed rule from the IRS targeting 501(c)(4)s that would effectively make the IRS a campaign-finance regulator.

We already have an agency responsible for enforcing campaign finance rules. It’s called, strangely enough, the Federal Election Commission. And it’s a strictly bipartisan institution, as it should be. Read more about IRS Should Not Become A Campaign-Finance Regulator

Marriage, Activist Courts, Democracy and Evolution

Issues:

An unelected Federal judge overturned the Texas Constitution's definition of marriage, proving the Courts’ lack of respect for our Constitutional Republic - and democracy in general.

Marriage is what it is: the union between one man and one woman. No one, least of all a lawmaker in the form of an activist judge, can make two men or two women "one flesh," literally or figuratively. Biology isn’t destiny, but it

What Adryana Boyne’s Primary Race could mean to the Texas GOP

Issues:

Adryana Boyne’s primary race in Texas State House District 102 has drawn national and statewide attention. She will be the second Hispanic Republican woman to serve in the Texas State House. She has a long history of political activism in Texas and nationally, including experience in articulating, lobbying for and defending conservative values and policies, in Spanish and in English.

Texas will be majority Hispanic by the year 2020. The GOP has a pressing need to find bilingual spokespersons who can help Americans of every background and language understand that our GOP values are the values many Hispanics and other Americans already embrace. Being bilingual,

Wayne Christian Authored 5 Legislative Bills that Would Increase Regulations and Provide Solyndra-like Subsidies for Renewable Energy

During his time as Texas State Representative, Wayne Christian, now a Republican candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission, authored five legislative bills that would put increased regulations on Texas oil and gas companies.

With Texas' strong energy industry generating crucial jobs and tax revenue for Texans, one would think a candidate for our state's oil and gas regulatory board should have experience in supporting the oil

TexasGOPVote Blogger Endorsements: Larry Perrault

Issues:

I had left a couple of races indeterminate. In the US Senate race, I expressed the priority of unseating John Cornyn; not because I dislike him or doubt his sentiments. But the calculating reticent tactics of traditional Republicans has to go if this country is going to have any shot at rising out f its current hole. If Texas is going to help the effort, Cornyn shows no inclination to be a part of it. I previously said I thought Steve Stockman had the best opportunity to stop him. But let’s consider the situation. Stockman’s lackluster campaign trails Cornyn considerably. But a runoff possibility is not in the total of the runner-up, but in the leader’s failure to garner
