Revisiting The Life of Julia

Most recently I wrote about how Wendy Davis' rise through Texas Politics can be traced as much to the efforts and aid by her second husband than anything she has done. Davis' own political rise, along with Hillary Clinton's soon to be second run at the Presidency, were aided by male patrons who supported their efforts; but there is more to the story. Goodfellas’ Gangster Caught!

I have to admit it, I’m a sucker for the mob movies, and an especially big fan of Scorsese’s film, Goodfellas, about the 1978 cash and jewelry heist from Lufthansa at JFK airport. As with all things Hollywood, Scorsese

Nearly 1/4 Of Texas House Republicans Invite Sean Hannity To Lone Star State

Issues:

Nearly one quarter of Republican legislators in the Texas House have signed a letter urging Fox News' Sean Hannity to move to Texas. The move comes after Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst penned a January 21, 2014 letter welcoming the conservative icon, in response to Hannity's remarks that he was considering such a move. The letter signed by the legislators was penned by Texas House Ways and Means chairman Harvey Hilderbran. Breitbart News was the first to learn of the effort. Congressman Pete Sessions Conducts Health Care Meetings in Dallas

One of my top priorities in Congress is to repeal ObamaCare because it is bad for our economy, bad for job creation, and bad for our health care system. After ObamaCare is repealed, I believe we should replace it with common-sense reform that actually reduces costs, increases access to quality care, and restores the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship. Trolling for Sugar Daddies, the Democrat Women's Way to Advance!

Wendy Davis, the Democratic candidate for Governor of Texas, is a Republican consultant's dream. If the woman isn’t getting her life story wrong, she is telling the world that her paraplegic opponent needs to walk a mile in her shoe.

Wendy Davis is the poster politician for liberalism, and sometimes I wonder if the left truly gets the joke that is Wendy Davis. Consider her lifestyle. We are left with the impression that Ms. Davis rose from living in a trailer park to working her way through Harvard Law School all while raising her daughter. Through The Looking Glass

Issues:

Wow, the world has turned upside-down.

1) Of course, though there has been an unconstitutional drip and even trickle for all of my life, weve never seen anything like the avalanche of offense to liberty and constitutional principle in this nations history.

Obamacare may show the overturn of The Constitution to be near complete. Commandeering the offering, purchase and administration of the medical care of all Americans? Really? Progressives are supposedly adamant about keeping

Congressman Smith Hosts San Antonio’s First Live Q&A with Astronauts Aboard ISS

Yesterday I hosted San Antonio’s first ever live television downlink with astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) at the Alamo Heights High School. The 20-minute Earth-to-space call was conducted with students who are involved in SystemsGo, a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiative developed to promote engineering studies through research.

Five Questions: The President should hold his Administration accountable to the American people

Today I presented five questions Americans deserve to have answered by President Obama in next week’s State of the Union address.

Americans all over the nation are asking questions about the economy, Obamacare, the IRS, Benghazi, and the NSA that aren’t being answered. However, as the President prepares his State of the Union address, he has signaled he has no intention of clearing the air. The lack of accountability in Washington is creating a crisis of confidence in this country, and under President Obama, trust in government

Texas Conservative Review Finds Barry Smitherman Most Qualified to Succeed Greg Abbott as Texas’ Top Lawyer

Issues:

Texas Conservative Review has endorsed Barry Smitherman for Texas Attorney General to succeed Greg Abbott who is running for Governor. Smitherman is currently Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission and the former Chairman of the Public Utility Commission.

We at TCR believe that the best candidate to fill Greg Abbott’s shoes as our next Attorney General is Barry Smitherman, who has the perfect combination of legal, executive and leadership experience that the job requires. The highlights of Barry Smitherman’s distinguished career include leadership experience as Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission and Chairman of the Public Utility Commission where he applied skills that he
