Miss Me Yet? - The Mood of America

Those who stand for nothing fall for anything. ~Alexander Hamilton

Miss me Yet? Whether you miss Bush or not many have come to realize the destruction of America caused by the Obama administration. Obama has blamed Bush for all of America’s woes and tribulations. He continues to discount the fact that he voted for the first stimulus package, signed into law the unpopular Health Care Reform bill, wants badly to have Cap n Trade, ignited a bitter fight with Arizona over immigration, has done nothing about rising unemployment and the failing house market. He persists with his obsession for federal funding of abortion. Not to mention his verbal racial accusations and his intrusion on the Ground Zero Mosque. And now just a few days before the fall of the Obama regime it seems that all of the Socialists/Democrats are trying to scratch their way out of their self dug pits by following in Obama’s path and screaming "its Bush’s fault!" How desperate they sound. How scary that many believe their lies.

The latest to announce that he is leaving the Obama administration is Rahm Emanuel, Chief of Staff. Speculation that Emanuel was leaving the WH started in early summer. It was rumored that Emanuel could not work with the idealistic friends Obama surrounded himself with, mainly Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod. The claim is that Emanuel has his eye on being Mayor of Chicago, imagine that. The shocker came when Peter Orszag, Obama’s budget director recanted in some way his tax cuts by saying that the Bush Tax Cuts should be renewed. Christina Romer head of the White House Council of Economic Advisors also jumped ship as quietly as possible last month. She is returning to California and will be teaching at Berkeley this fall. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will be leaving in 2011. Poor Obama, the community organizer, without any experience in hiring will be left to ‘patchwork’ his cabinet, something like what he said “was not a good thing” of the state's immigration laws. It could be that we will be witness to another historical event, Obama going completely berserk right in front of the TV screen for the entire world to watch.

The mood in DC is definitely changing…how, you might ask? I was witness to the million or so that were in Washington, DC on Inaugural day, January 20, 2009. The adulation for "the one" was extraordinary and the "Obama stuff" available was enormous. Vendors lined the streets in downtown DC selling all kinds of trinkets, buttons, tee shirts, and pictures of Obama, Obama’s family and even American flags with his distinguishable face on it. The American flags with Obama’s face were extremely disturbing to me. Since this historic event, we have been to DC at least three times with Obama keepsakes dominating the souvenir stores. In fact I have made it a point to go in and ask for Sarah Palin items and have had a very negative and cold response, all in an arrogant or laughing manner. Until last month! Low and behold there in the most prestigious souvenir stores in Union Station were the “Miss me Yet?” tee shirts along with other Bush mementos. In fact there was a Sarah Palin doll smack in the middle. Obama is on his way out. When souvenir shops can not make it with only his "stuff" the time is near, very near. Things are changing in DC as is the mood of all America. It is time for change.

Yet no one wants to make an already stagnating jobs market worse over the next year or two, which is exactly what would happen if the cuts expire as planned.
Higher taxes now would crimp consumer spending, further depressing the already inadequate demand for what firms are capable of producing at full tilt.
