This story originally appeared in The Quorum Report.

Ebola vomit washed down the sewer

The Fed likes to report good news. Whether it’s interest rates, unemployment rates, housing start, whatever, it’s never bad news. Even when it’s bad news, the spin will be that everything is under control. The same is true with Ebola.

No need to rehash that Obama said Ebola would not hit America’s shores, he has the border PROTECTED! Read more about Ebola vomit washed down the sewer

The Bad Economics Of The Minimum Wage And The Fast Food Protests

This week I spoke to Diana Furchtgott-Roth of Economics 21 about the economics of the minimum wage and specifically about who was behind the fast-food protests. Do people spontaneously strike for 100% wage increases?

Congressman Neugebauer Hosts South Plains Honor Flight at U.S. Capitol

Issues:

It was a real blessing for me and Dana to be in the company of so many of our Texas veterans this morning, and a true honor to show so many of these heroes and their family and friends around their U.S. Capitol. This group included many members of the “Greatest Generation” and their stories continue to provide unmatchable inspiration that we must never forget. May God continue to bless all of our veterans and those who continue to wear the uniform in defense of our freedom today.

The Texas South Plains Honor Flight hosts and sponsors area veterans on an annual trip to Washington, DC at no cost to the veteran. Read more about Congressman Neugebauer Hosts South Plains Honor Flight at U.S. Capitol

Bring Back Our Marine

It’s been six months since Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested for accidentally crossing the border into Mexico with three legally registered firearms. He’s sat in a Mexican prison ever since without any treatment for the PTSD that he suffers from. This week, a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee held a hearing on Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi. At the hearing, I questioned how ironic it was that our Administration can negotiate with the Taliban to secure the release of a missing soldier, but no one from the Administration could pick up a telephone to get our Marine back. That is simply unacceptable and inexcusable. Read more about Bring Back Our Marine
