Krauthammer And Other Luminaries Were Wrong

Issues:

Charles Krauthammer appeared with Bill O’Reilly Tuesday night. Krauthammer is obviously very bright, literate and politically studied, and recent appearances have shown him to be a brave, stable and delightful individual. If that sounds respectful and admiring, it is meant to. I honestly feel that way, and it is only appropriate to say before you detail your conviction about how he is mistaken. He repeated the insistence of so many Republican political calculators that Republicans are divided mostly by tactics, not by ideology or objectives. And I believe they are in great

Iran is Feeling the Pain of Sanctions

Issues:

Last year, Irans net exports of petroleum dropped to their lowest level since 1990. Its GDP has dropped for the first time in 20 years.

The Iranians are feeling the pain of sanctions. Now the Iranians say that they will negotiate if the sanctions are reduced. Reducing sanctions without verifying that Tehran is abandoning, not just freezing, its nuclear weapons program is misguided and reckless.

The U.S. is moving toward an appeasement deal with Iran, and Iran is giving up nothing.

Last Thursday, I met with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel, who called this deal to reduce sanctions with Iran a "bad deal, a very bad deal. Read more about Iran is Feeling the Pain of Sanctions

UN’s “Climate Change” to Transform the Economic Structure of the World

The United Nations’ climate change meeting began Monday in Warsaw, Poland, to discuss “global warming,” but when the globe stopped warming 16 years ago, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was forced to reveal its real agenda.

Last year in Doha, Qatar, the treaty’s Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres told the world that the purpose of the UNFCCC is a “complete transformation of the economic structure of the world.” The scheme is to use the eternally unpredictable weather that affects everyone to manipulate a transfer of wealth from rich to poor nations, which in turn degrades every nation’s standard of living. The Destruction of the Traditional Family

Issues:

The destruction of the traditional family in America continues to surge. Not until the conservatives take up the battle will this devastation stop. Liberals are relentless in their cause as they push their agenda whenever and wherever they can. The time has passed when prayer alone will do. If we don’t win the battles in our own cities, how can we possibly prevail! Read more about The Destruction of the Traditional Family

Congressman Farenthold Visits with AP Government Class in Corpus Christi

I enjoyed visiting with the Incarnate Word Academy AP Government class this week in Corpus Christi for their "Congress in the Classroom" forum. I graduated from IWA, as did my daughter Morgan. The students had some great questions about life in Congress, the issues facing our nation and the medias role in politics. We also talked about some of the big issues of today,

We Can Do Better; American People Deserve Affordable Healthcare Plans

Whatever one thinks of Obamacare, it is now clear that the law was sold under false pretenses.

When Congress was debating health-care reform back in 2009 and 2010, President Obama and his Democratic allies repeatedly promised the American people that their plan would reduce costs and expand coverage without disrupting anyone’s existing insurance—“period.” Had Americans known that Obamacare would actually raise premiums and cause millions of folks to lose their health policies, it never would have become law. DEA Bounty On Released Cartel Leader Pressures Mexican Authorities To Act

The man convicted for the murder of DEA Special Agent Enrique “KiKi” Camarena was released early from his 40 year prison sentence after serving just 28 years. A Mexican court ruled that Rafael Caro Quintero should have been tried in a state court instead of a federal court, thus releasing the cartel founder on a technicality.

The DEA fired back by putting a $5 million bounty on his capture.

Thank You, Veterans

Happy Veterans Day. Today, we honor the brave veterans of our nation - without whom, our freedom would not be possible. Because of their service, our freedom endures.

Today, I ask you and your family to join me in taking a moment to acknowledge those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. We also honor those who are risking their lives at this very moment, both at home and abroad, to serve our country, keep us safe and protect the values we hold dear.
