The World has Yet To End, Oh My!

For nearly a quarter of century, we have been told that “we have reached a tipping point to stop human induced climate change.” We were told by former IPCC Chief Rajendra Pachauri in 2007 that if no action was taken by 2012, all is lost. Well it is 2015, and all is not quite lost.

Environmentalist writer George Monbiot claimed in UK Guardian that in “as little as 10 years, the world will be faced with a choice: arable farming either continues to feed the world’s animals or it continues to feed the world’s people. It cannot do both.” In 2002, 930 million people were undernourished but by 2014, the number was only 805 million. Hmmm, but then if the environmentalist extremists and the yahoo brigade get their way and eliminate much of our fossil fuel industry, their prediction of massive starvation will come true, but it won’t be because of climate change but purposeful government policies!

In 1989, Senior UN environmental official Noel Brown states that “entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels if Global warming is not reversed by year 2000.” Last time I checked our globe, there have been no recorded nations now presently under water. Sometimes mocking these guys is simply too easy as they have been wrong with their predictions for nearly a half a century, but yet we are supposed to take their science seriously. Jean Poitou Bardinet, a leading climatologist, recently put a list of 22 very inconvenient climate truths, including among that list:

  1. The mean global temperature has been stable since 1997 and as Bardinet notes, “Despite a continuous increase of C02 Content of the air: how could one say that the increase of the CO2 content of the air is the cause of the increase of the temperature?”
  2. Bardinet also observed, “The maximum surface of Antarctic ice-pack has been increasing every year since we have satellite observations.”
  3. Another observation, “The sum of the surfaces of the Arctic and Antarctic icepacks is about constant.” I guess that means the Arctic Ocean and Antarctic land mass are not in danger of completely melting any time soon.
  4. “The forecasts of the climate models are diverging more and more from the observations,” Bardinet observed and added that if the models are proven false by observation, it must be “discarded, or audited or revised.” There is no evidence that that is happening by the climate alarmists, even after their theories are proving to be false by real world experience.
  5. Bardinet's conclusion is, “Last but not least, the IPCC is neither a scientific organization nor an independent organization: the summary for policy makers, the only part of the report read by international organizations, politicians, and media is written under the very close supervision of the representative of the countries and of the non-governmental pressure groups… The governing body of the IPCC is made of a minority of scientists almost all of them promoters of the environmentalist ideology and a majority of state representatives and of non-governmental green organizations.” Translation, just in case you didn’t get the point: IPCC masquerades as a scientific group but is a political organization with a political agenda, which includes a reordering of our economic and political system. UN Climate chief Christiana Figueres has stated her opposition to capitalism and has publicly stated that Democracy is a poor system to fight global climate change, while applauding the present Chinese dictatorship and has made her disdain for capitalism known.

This is rule number one in reading anything about the climate change debate: When a reporter or activist uses the word climate denier, it usually means the reporter or activist has no clue about the actual position of climate realists or is simply a liar. Climate realists don’t deny climate change or the rise of CO2 but they do question humanity as the primary cause of climate change. Their point is that we are still looking for answers on what causes climate change, whether in the the past or what will cause it in the future and they have been far more correct in their analyst than alarmists. That is a fact. The only deniers of real science are the climate alarmists like Bill Nye, “the science denier guy” and Al Gore.
