Just What the Economy Needs Now: More Coerced Loans

That’s what Attorney General Eric Holder is pushing for. More pressure for politically motivated lending, more “set-asides” for people with bad credit histories, more mortgages for people who wouldn’t qualify unless “public assistance” is counted as genuine income. This is all being done in the context of a crackdown on “discrimination” by banks. Evidently banks are so overcome by pure wickedness that they do not want to earn money by lending to blacks and Hispanics. If that explanation satisfies you, and you never wonder if there might be more to the situation than evil bankers wickedly rejecting people’s loan applications for no good reason, you can look forward to a nice career at the Justice Department.
