Senate approves $3 billion in construction bonds for colleges and universities

The Senate on Tuesday passed legislation that would authorize more than $3 billion in bonds for construction and renovation projects at 64 higher education campuses across the state. Schools in North Texas would get a sizable chunk of the bond program, approved on a 26-5 vote.
