Subway’s Jared Fogle Used Kids’ Health Nonprofit to Access Victims

Court Documents reveal that Subway’s Jared Fogle used his kid’s health foundation to help in the creation of child pornography. Fogle admitted to working with his Fogle Foundation President Russell Taylor who is alleged to have produced pornographic materials involving children.

Court records, attached below, paint a picture that is much more disturbing than was originally believed. Not only was Fogle using his foundation to have access to children so that they could be secretly filmed in graphic sexual situations, he would also travel around the country on business and vacation trips to engage in sex with prostitutes. Some of these prostitutes were as young a fourteen years old.

Once he engaged in sex with a prostitute, he would get them to help him find younger girls. He would ask them to find young girls. “The younger the girl, the better.” He would offer bonuses saying he would “really make it worth her while if she could find one.”

In addition to seeking out young girls for commercial sex, Fogle would have Taylor find him photos and video of even younger children for his perverted sexual enjoyment.

Fogle admitted that Taylor would supply him with photographs and videos of people he knew to be minors. These images depicted the children engaging in sexual activity. In many situations he knew the actual names of the victims and in some cases he met with them in-person “during social events in Indiana,” court records state. Many of the videos were allegedly produced in Taylor’s current and former residence in Indiana.

The minors in these images were not aware they were being filmed. They were produced using multiple hidden cameras in Taylor’s residences.

Fogle would have Taylor find him other images from the web. Some of these depicted children as young as 6 years of age. These images were found in a search of Taylor’s residence and computers.

All of the images and videos included a “lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of the relevant minor,” records revealed. “Some material also included other sexually explicit conduct depending upon the minor involved.” The defendant admitted to showing, on at least one occasion, the images of child porn to another person.

His behavior continued over several years.

Fogle will now face up to 12 and one-half years in federal prison for his offenses. He agreed to pay restitution to his known victims in the amount of $100,000 each and will serve in a supervised release program upon completion of his prison term.

Federal law requires prisoners to serve at least 85 percent of their sentenced time actually in prison before being paroled. The government is seeking supervised release of up to the rest of his life, after he completes his prison term.

The plea bargain does not preclude other, as yet unidentified victims from seeking restitution. The plea agreement and the criminal information document setting forth the initial charges are both attached below.
