Who is Waging a War Against Pregnant Women?

Houston’s Proposition one reads as follows:

“Proposition 1: [Relating to the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance.] Are you in favor of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, Ord. No. 2014-530, which prohibits discrimination in city employment and city services, city contracts, public accommodations, private employment, and housing based on an individual’s sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or pregnancy?”

Who could be against pregnancy? What a ludicrous proposition!

Have you ever seen “magicians” perform “magic” tricks, whereby the attract your attention to one point on the stage, while they, using sleight of hand, deceive you into believing they have some “supernatural” power to trick your senses into believing something that is not so?

These are old tricks, and one would be wise not to fall for them. I would have the same advice for those reading Proposition One on the ballot, which would also “trick” you into thinking that a “Yes” vote for Proposition One is somehow a new found right that would guarantee that pregnant women will not be discriminated against. The truth is, that pregnant women cannot be singled out for unfavorable treatment, and this has been established at every level of government since long before I was born (and I’m an old guy).

No one wants to treat pregnant women poorly! Watch the sleight of hand, as Mayor Parker and others who have crafted the wording of this proposition, attempt to confuse the voters of Houston.

What they don’t want you to know, is that if this proposition passes, pregnant women, (and ALL women) will be subject to having their bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms occupied by men who “feel” like a woman on any particular day. Perverted men, who for whatever reason would like to spend time in a woman’s bathroom, shower, or locker room, cannot be stopped, should Proposition One pass.

This is something you can stop! Tell your friends, neighbors, family members, fellow church goers to vote NO on Proposition one in November and during early voting, which is only a few days away. Send a clear message to Mayor Parker and the Houston City Council to stop their attempt to make pregnant women (and ALL women) share a bathroom with some burly man! Protect your precious wives and daughters from those that have no good intent!
