Coastal Bend to Washington (CB2DC) Trip

Last week, I hosted the annual visit to the nation’s Capital of a group of Corpus Christi area Chambers of Commerce members and community leaders. This trip ensures that local issues of concern are brought to the attention of leaders in both the House and Senate.

During their trip, the group met with members of the US Chamber, Texas U.S. Senator John Cornyn, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster and Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, Congressman Henry Cuellar and Congressman Filemon Vela. During their meetings they spoke about issues important to the Coastal Bend, including the I-69 Corridor, the Harbor Bridge, the Port of Corpus Christi, NAS Corpus Christi, windfarms and more.
