Cruz Shines At RNC Convention - I Want To Be Free!

Will the Republicans fall for the mainstream media commentary on what came down at the Republican National Convention concerning Ted Cruz’ speech? If you do, then shame on you! That, my fellow Republicans is why we are in the predicament we are in as a party. Lacking the skill to comprehend what is being said has brought our country to the depths of self-destruction. Not only did Americans elect Barack Obama in 2008 by failing to grasp what he was telling us, and without any knowledge of his true identity, but then in 2012 voters did it again, knowing exactly that Obama was moving us to a place of no return.

It was well known that Donald Trump asked Cruz to speak at the convention without expecting an endorsement and Cruz agreed. It should also be understood that the Trump Campaign knew full well what Cruz was going to say and that there probably would NOT be an endorsement. Trump allowed Cruz to speak in prime time regardless. It should not have been a surprise to the Trump Campaign that Cruz did not verbalize the word ‘endorsement’.

The pledge that Trump is referring to is the one the RNC made all candidates sign, explicitly so that Trump would not bail out on them if he lost the nomination. To make it clear the pledge that each candidate signed was NONBINDING as reported by the New York Times in September, 2015.

Cruz in his opening statement said, America is going to come back too...doesn’t that sound like, Make America Great Again? Cruz, in his very first comment, congratulated Trump on winning the nomination.

Cruz’ message was loud and clear: Freedom Matters! To loud applause he continued, “We all want to see the principles that our party believes prevail in November.” That America has no king or queen or a dictatorship and that the people constrain the government. I totally loved it when he said, “Our nation is exceptional because it was built on the five most powerful and beautiful words in the English language...I WANT TO BE FREE!”

Cruz was able to clearly express what no other speaker had been able to do in the first two days of the convention, differentiate between the parties. Have we gotten so off base that we all want to be talked down to like the Democrats do their sheep? How many ‘actors’ should we have to listen to before we decide that we are electing the president of the United States of America and not a winner in a talent show?

The delegates were hungry for Cruz’ conservative words because the applause and USA chants were deafening. According to reports, it was the Trump Campaign that urged the New York Delegates to Boo Cruz toward the very end about 20 minutes into his 23 minute 23 seconds speech. The NY delegation started to boo just when Ted Cruz said:

(At 20:22 on video) “To those listening Please, DON’T STAY HOME IN NOVEMBER. IF YOU LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND LOVE YOUR CHILDREN AS MUCH AS I KNOW THAT YOU DO, STAND AND VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE UP AND DOWN THE TICKET WHO YOU ‘TRUST’ TO DEFEND OUR FREEDOM AND TO BE FAITHFUL TO THE CONSTITUTION. “

The NY delegates started chanting “We want Trump”, as Trump walked in at this precise moment. Cruz stood firmly on stage as he directly addressed the NY delegation while they booed him and said to them, “I appreciate the enthusiasm of the New York delegation.” Isn’t it time that the Trump supporters realize that Trump is skilled in manipulation? That this may have been a well-orchestrated plan by the Trump Campaign? I will not speculate as to why Trump’s campaign may have decided on this very cruel plot; whether to blame Cruz if Trump loses or to distract from VP Mike Pence’s very conservative stance, giving the Republican ticket balance. As you know Trump supports the LGBTQ as was announced at the RNC convention by Lynn Patton. This announcement puts Trump in direct odds with the conservative base, the National Republican platform and his VP.

And for those who say that Cruz used this time for him...I say NO, he used this time to educate Trump and the audience on what needs to be done to win this election and for the Republicans to remain a principled party. Of the 23 minutes 23 seconds, Cruz used 13 seconds to say a few positive words about his mother and father, otherwise his speech focused on freedom. Towards the end of his speech, Cruz stated, “Fight for freedom, to protect our God Given Rights even of those with whom we don’t agree so that when we are old and gray and when our work is done, and we give those we love one final kiss good bye, we will be able to say freedom matters and I was part of something beautiful.”

He concluded his speech with, “We will defend freedom and be faithful to the constitution. We will unite the party; we will unite the country by standing together for shared values by standing for Liberty. God Bless each and every one of you and God Bless the United States of America."

Understand that Cruz was NOT booed OFF the stage as the MSM and Trump would like you to believe. If anything the delegates that were booing Cruz did so because they did not like the fact that Cruz did not specifically ‘endorse’ Trump. It is unfortunate that the booing from the delegation came at ‘God Bless the United States of America’. Do not fall for the lies the MSM is trying to perpetuate.

And just for your information, New York will probably go to Hillary Clinton as the primary election count shows that the Democrats brought in close to two million votes and the Republicans did not reach the one million mark. What are the chances New York state turns Red?

Trump needs to come out tonight and give a rousing speech that will make an impression so profound that each delegate and all the people watching will want to vote for him. He can’t go back using his 3rd or 4th grade vocabulary. It’s ShowTime! This election is totally up to Trump to lose or win. He will win on his own or lose on his own.

Ted Cruz said it right, “We deserve leaders who stand for principle who unite us all behind shared values who cast aside anger for love. That is a standard we should expect from everybody.” Vote your conscience!
