Donald Trump* ...*Consider the Alternative

Donald Trump happens to be the Republican Party’s nominee. PERIOD! I will not try to defend his totally inexcusable language or defend his indefensible past.  Nor will I pretend that he is without fault.  At one time I was a voter not willing to vote for such a man.  But listening to Hillary Clinton in the last debate sold me on Trump. Trump’s knowledge on Prolife may be imprecise but Hillary knows and stands firm on abortion.  She is deliberate in making abortion one of her priorities.  Her despicable disdain for Religious Liberty and the sanctity of life is more than any decent person should bear.  Being a Catholic is definitely one of the main reasons I will NOT be voting for someone who is totally against my Catholic beliefs. And I can truthfully say that IF Hillary is elected president, our nation will suffer not only economically but, more importantly, our nation will suffer spiritually.  Her promise to continue to support PP and her blatant disregard for life is enough to chill anyone’s blood.  God cannot continue to bless a country that kills the unborn. I am reminded of the letter St. Teresa of Calcutta sent to the Supreme Court in February of 1994 referencing the Roe vs Wade ruling. In part St. Teresa wrote:

America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships.

It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society.
It has portrayed the greatest of gifts—a child—as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered domination over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters.

And, in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners.

Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign.

The tragedy of the last debate was Hillary’s shrill call to her abortion factions to vote for her because she was going to make sure that women received reproductive rights. She accused Trump of using ‘scare rhetoric’ against women; what about the unborn do they not fear to be aborted, to be dismembered?  Who will be their voice if not us? Anyone so intent to protect and promote abortion will surely not defend a person’s right to live until natural death. Can euthanasia be far behind?   Who will be our voice?

If you wonder why life is such a critical issue, let me ask you, “What IF you had been aborted?”  Would you be able to attend school, hold a job, find a career of your choice or find someone to love?  Would you be able to enjoy your children or grandchildren, enjoy the goodness of life?  I say no, you would be dead, dead to all worldly amenities and desires. Everything springs from life.  From the beginning God created Adam and Eve and said, “God blessed them and God said to them: Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.”

The Archbishop of Denver Colorado, Samuel Aquila wrote on his website:

The right to life is the most important and fundamental right, since life is necessary for any of the other rights to matter. There are some issues that can legitimately be debated by Christians, such as which policies are the most effective in caring for the poor, but the direct killing of innocent human life must be opposed at all times by every follower of Jesus Christ. There are no legitimate exceptions to this teaching.

The health of our nation depends on a deep respect for human life from the moment of conception until natural death, and the future of our society depends on how we protect that right. If we don’t, eventually we will go the way of Rome and Greece and other great civilizations that have risen and fallen.

We are at a junction in America….only you can make your individual decision.  Choose Hillary who we all know with certainty will destroy America as we know it for decades to come or take a risk with Trump who has promised to stand for LIFE.  Taking risks is part of life and in essence the American path to the American Dream.  Changing jobs is a risk, getting married is a risk, and driving your car is a risk.  Americans are risk-takers; otherwise, we would not be the America we have become.

Lastly, I ask all Texans to pray, to fast, to understand that we are under attack by the Left and they will not be satisfied until every ‘Christian’ has been broken.  We must keep Texas RED and we must show the Democrats that we are indeed a ‘Nation under God’!

PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
O glorious Archangel St. Michael, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
