Jill Stein’s Money Grab

Apparently Jill Stein may be pulling a Bernie Sanders, and selling out.

After collecting millions of dollars to get a recount of an election she can’t win, Stein may be having a change of pocket book…I mean, heart.

According to Law News,

Before you donate to Green Party candidate Jill Stein‘s effort to demand a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, you may want to read the fine print on her website. So far, she has raised $4.8 million, but take a look at this little clause at the end of donation form:

We cannot guarantee a recount will happen in any of these states we are targeting. We can only pledge we will demand recounts in those states.

If we raise more than what’s needed, the surplus will also go toward election integrity efforts and to promote voting system reform.

And interestingly, as more donations started pouring in over the holiday, Stein moved her total fundraising goal to $7 million. She originally had a goal of $2.5 million.  She also upped the amount she will need for lawyer’s fees.

Democrats seem surprised by this move. They are shocked that a failed presidential candidate would profiteer in the aftermath of his or her loss.

After all, it’s been a while since Bernie Sanders did it.

Though Stein is an independent candidate, she was little more than a Democrat operative. For those who don’t believe that, you can’t deny she’s an opportunist.

Jill Stein has raised more money post-election, than she did in her campaign. Put another way, Jill Stein raised $3 million is less one day, but raised just over $3.5 million in her entire campaign.

Who’s financing her?

In her campaign, Stein received mostly small dollar donations. Now however she seems to be getting much larger donations.

As Zero Hedge suggests,

Just yesterday we noted that Jill Stein was acting on behalf of Hillary Clinton to raise money for recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.  As we noted then, we continue to be astonished by the amount of money flowing into the fundraising campaign and would love to see which of Hillary’s mega donors have spent the most on the effort…somehow we suspect this isn’t just a “grassroots organizing” effort as Stein described it.

Grass roots? Jill Stein is not a member of the Tea Party Community, that’s for sure.

Zero Hedge continues,

But, today a new mystery has emerged in Stein’s fundraising efforts.  Apparently, the more money she raises the more expensive the recount effort becomes.  Courtesy of the Wayback Machine we have the following snapshots from her fundraising page over the past couple of days:

November 24, 2016 at 3:46AM – In the beginning, Stein figured she needed a total of $2.5mm to fund her recount efforts.  That figure included $2.2mm for the actual filing fees and presumably another $0.3mm for legal fees and other costs.

Be sure to visit Zero Hedge to see how Stein continually increased the costs involved in her new luxury house and car…{ahem} recount.

The fact that Stein picked the battlegrounds states the Left hoped Hillary Clinton would win to target creates a bit of skepticism about her motives. Further, the fact that Stein is not even a presidential contender makes the whole effort laughable.

The good news is Trump is already generating millions for the economy. That’s if Stein actually spends the money.
