Texas Rep Says Hillary Clinton Lied to the American People over ‘Top Secret’ Emails

Texas Congressman Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX) responded to the revelation that Hillary Clinton lied about classified emails sent from her personal server. Now a 2016 Democrat candidate for president, Clinton said she had not sent or received any classified documents on her server she set up outside of the State Department’s secured network.

“It was just a few weeks ago when the Democratic front-runner for President of the United States blatantly lied to the American people declaring that she was ‘confident’ that she ‘never sent nor received any information that was classified,’ Farenthold wrote in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas.

Farenthold said that at least two emails sent from the former secretary’s personal server that were designated “Top Secret.” The two-term Texas congressman referred to an article on McClatchy that reported two of the four classified documents found on Clinton’s personal server contained “material deemed to be in one of the highest security classifications.”

Senator Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said: “Both the State Department and Intelligence Community inspectors general should be looking into the staff use of the Clinton private server for official State Department business.”

The Iowas Senator reported that two of the four email messages they are looking at have been classified as “Top Secret/SCI level.” Other email messages are being looked at by the Intelligence Community Inspector General to determine the appropriate level of classification.

Breitbart News’ Patrick Howley reported on Tuesday that the FBI was now in possession of Secretary Clinton’s private servers. It appears that seven email messages are being reviewed by an inter-governmental agency, headed by the FBI to determine if classified documents were, in fact, stored on the server.

“This means giving both inspectors general access and custody of all emails that haven’t already been deleted,” Grassley wrote in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “From what is publicly known, it appears that the investigation thus far has focused so much on the former secretary of state, that it’s gotten lost that high-level staff apparently also used this server too.”

“This information revealed by the inspector general makes it even more important that the FBI and the State Department secure these documents,” the Iowa Senator concluded. “To date, the two agencies most critical to securing this information have failed to assure the American people that they are taking the necessary steps to protect America’s national security interests.”

Farenthold chastised the former State Department head. “There is no question that Hillary Clinton cannot be trusted,” the Corpus Christi based Congressman concluded. “Now more than ever, the Reagan mantra of ‘trust but verify’ must be applied by an exhaustive, independent and transparent investigation into Secretary Clinton and her staff.”

Farenthold accused the 2016 Democrat Presidential Frontrunner of “choosing once again to prioritize her personal political ambitions ahead of the security of the United States.”
