Farenthold sits on the House Oversight Committee which has been looking deeply into an issue I have been covering since the day after the murder of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, Operation Fast and Furious. We also discussed issues important to South Texas, including Border Security, a guest worker program

As the newly appointed Texas Director of Cafe Con Leche Republicans (CCLR), I am happy to announce our group's endorsement of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to be the next President and Vice President of the United States. Earlier this year, the Republican Party of Texas took a historic step to approve a state party platform which includes what became known as "The Texas Solution". This solution is an active statement by our party to take a pro-active step toward finding real solutions to the important issues of Border Security and Immigration Reform.

This summer, the Republican Party of Texas took a bold step forward on the issues of border security and immigration reform by adopting "The Texas Solution." The national Republican Party has now followed suit by adopting a guest worker program into its national platform. Earlier this summer, the Republican Party of Texas took a bold step in leadership on the issue of immigration reform with the adoption of what has become known as "The Texas Solution". One of the key planks of The Texas Solution is an effective guest worker program which will help businesses in finding legal workers for their employment needs. We have long said that President Barack Obama has done little more than pay lip service to the interests of Hispanic voters in America. His latest announcement of the mini-DREAM Act, guest worker program, is pure election year pandering. Now the mainstream media may actually be seeing through the President's facade and revealing who he really is - President Obama: Deporter-in-Chief.

The “Rule of Law” has been the rallying cry of those who are most critical of the Immigration policy as reflected in the 2012 Platform of the Republican Party of Texas. One critic stated, “Our immigration laws must be respected and enforced.”

This month has brought several clashes of Constitutional power, delegation of authority and ultra vires acts. Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder was cited for contempt of Congress by the House Oversight Committee, President Obama made up new law by creating a new guest worker program, and this week the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled on Arizona's fight with the Obama Administration over immigration enforcement, and it will likely rule on ObamaCare.
