It's Election Day – Vote Today to Save Our Freedom, Liberty and Nation

My name is John Griffing. I'm an average patriotic American citizen, and I’m alarmed. I’m alarmed at the speed with which our country is giving away its precious freedoms, and I’m alarmed at the role our own president has played in this process. But, above all, I’m alarmed at how little is being done, that could and should be done, to STOP it.

Early on, our president told us he wanted to fundamentally change the United States of America. True to his word, he has worked tirelessly to undermine American sovereignty and economic strength, and to bring his own country to the brink of disaster. There’s no longer any need to build this case....the volume of evidence is

Ted Cruz will Win Today's Election - Ready to Serve

Ted Cruz on Election EveAs for all of the candidates on this year's ballot, this election cycle has been a very long, frustrating, rewarding and exhausting road.  An extended primary thanks to some federal judges and the Democrats, a July runoff election and then a shortened sprint to the finish line.  Former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz will cross that line sometime after 7 pm tonight and become Senator-elect Ted Cruz. That is a very hard-fought and well-earned title for him and a great victory for conservatives in Texas.   Read more »

Ohio's Josh Mandel in Dead Heat in U.S. Senate Race - Interview with Glenn Beck

Recently I wrote an article titled, "The Road to the White House and Control of the Senate Drives Through Ohio".  As we come down to the wire, this race is neck and neck. Ohio State Treasurer Josh Mandel is challenging incumbant Senator Sherrod Brown. Brown recently earned the label of the Senate's most liberal senator, according to Mandel.

Previously, I interviewed the National Rifle Association's Jacqueline Otto about the importance of the Ohio race and what the NRA-ILA was doing to help Josh Mandel.  Otto told me that Josh Mandel was rated with an A from their organization and Sen. Brown had earned an F just like President Obama.    Read more »

Small Business Owner - We Did Build It - Obama's War on Healthcare, Manufacturing, Small Business and Texas

Romney Ryan Flag in Houston TexasRecently I was driving down the freeway in Houston, Texas and I noticed a small business alongside the freeway that was making a BIG statement! Flying over the business was a giant American flag, which is common to see along Houston freeways. But next to that flag, instead of a giant Texas flag, was a solid blue flag with the letters proudly stating the owner's endorsement of "Romney - Ryan" to be our next president and vice-president.

I did a quick U-turn and came back to find not only the flags, but a big Ted Poe for Congress sign adorning the property of Houston Business Owner, Tim Mattingly

Check Out this Texas Comptroller Report: Your Money and the Taxing Facts

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Susan Combs has released a report entitled Your Money and the Taxing Facts which analyzes taxation at the local level across the state. The report is accompanied by a new web tool at www.TexasTransparency.org which allows citizens to use interactive maps to see all of the property and sales taxing entities in their county, as well as the rates at which they are being taxed.

According to the report, the number of special purpose taxing districts that are being created is growing every year across the state, which is making it increasingly difficult for citizens to keep track of which entities

Taxable Ignorance

One of the few things that really irritates me is how ignorant most of us are on tax policies. Granted, the IRS Tax Code is well over 44,000 pages but you’d think that people who are going to complain about a presidential candidate’s comments on taxation would at least know the difference between an income tax and a payroll tax, right?

I might be asking for too much, especially given the revelation that Governor Mitt Romney said to a group of donors, “47 percent . . . are dependent upon government . . . and they

They Won’t Change It: Dems Keep Pushing ObamaCare, Debt and Tax Hikes

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a political committee devoted to maintaining and increasing the 239-member Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Too many Americans believe the nation is on the wrong track, and it’s not hard to see why as the economy continues to struggle while Democrats keep borrowing and spending despite the rising debt:

Pete Sessions Statement on CBO’s Updated Budget & Economic Outlook Report

Today’s dismal forecast from the non-partisan CBO underscores the need for the Obama Administration and Washington Democrats to join House Republicans’ efforts to replace the looming defense cuts and stop the tax hike. My colleagues in the House and I have already passed legislation to stop the job-destroying tax increase set to take effect in January and to replace the sequester with common-sense reforms and spending cuts.   Read more »
