We are very pleased at the Texas Workforce Commission that our Texas Veteran’s Leadership Program was honored with an in-depth feature in VFW Magazine. The Veterans of Foreign Wars and their 2.2 million members worldwide do a great job supporting our veterans, and we appreciate their help in spreading the word about our program.

Congratulations Obama - Muslims in Pakistan surely displayed their gratitude towards your "soothing" Cairo speech when they bombed a hotel in Peshawar, Pakistan. The bombing of five-star Hotel Pearl Continental, a popular place of stay for foreigners, was responsible in the death of 18 people, including two United Nations top officials. President Obama had this to say ahead of his speech to the Muslim world in Cairo:

In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

MORE MONEY IS NOT THE ANSWER  

As shown very conclusively in the following information, the solution is not throwing more money at the many deep-rooted problems in the Texas public school system. For the Texas public school system has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Please call and email your Senators (if you do not know who your state senator is you can look it up here) Ask them to amend HB 4294 on the floor of the Senate so that the State Board of Education will have authority over digitized textbooks, instead of the current language which gives all the power to The Texas Education Agency through the Commissioner of Education.   Read more »
