AUSTIN— Today, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst issued the following statement regarding the decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule:

"Today's ruling by the D.C. Circuit is a victory for Texas – proving that we will not stand by and let the Obama Administration shut down the energy generation we need to meet our state's growing demand and drive up the cost of electricity for millions of Texans," Lt. Governor Dewhurst said. "The Court ruled that the EPA exceeded its statutory authority by imposing its job-killing agenda in its attempt to restrict our ability to control pollution within our borders."
