Well his committee’s new proposed map is finally out. See for yourself how your district will be changed if this proposed map is approved: Go to http://gis1.tlc.state.tx.us/ then use the drop down menu in the upper left-hand side marked "Select Plans" to bring up a pop-up window titled "Select Base Plan". The new census numbers are in and Texas has to re-draw the maps. As soon as the proposed maps start to come out you can find them here. According to the redistricting update conference call that I had with some high ranking legislators involved in redistricting, the first proposed map to come out will be the State Board of Education map. I heard Gov. Barbour speak at the 2010 RPT Convention. He learned much from his former boss Ronald Reagan about how to fire up a crowd. Talk about issues, tell a good story or two, be humerous, but be real. Governor Barbour is real. He has proven he can cut taxes and reduce spending while balancing a budget.
Gov. Mitt Romney was my choice for the Republican nomination for President in 2008. So far I have yet to see anyone ready to change that. In was was clearly designed to be a Reagan style speech of the greatness of American exceptionalism and the optimistic future of our country, Romney received several standing ovations from the CPAC crowd. Here are some excerpts from his speech.
