Judge Declares Mistrial in Clemens Case - Maybe now we can get on to charging Justice Department

Federal Judge Reggie Walton declared a mistrial today in the trial of baseball legend Roger Clemens. A hearing will be held later to determine if the Justice Department can bring this case to trial again or not. Clemens was charged with lying to Congress about his alleged use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.   Read more »

Smith: Administration’s Gun Restrictions Target Border State Citizens

Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas), Monday, criticized the Obama administration’s decision to impose new reporting requirements for gun sales in states along the U.S.-Mexico Border.

Monday's announcement follows months of controversy over the ATF’s Fast and Furious program that allowed guns to be trafficked into Mexico without any way of preventing the guns from being used for illegal activity. One of the guns was used in the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. FBI Arrests Texas Resident/Saudi Citizen on WMD Charges - Targets Included Home of Fmr President George W Bush

The FBI announced today, the arrest of Saudi national, Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.  One of the potential targets in this plot was the residence of former President of the United States, George W. Bush.  My contact at the FBI, Mark White, told me this morning that Aldawsari is in the United States legally on a current student visa.   Read more »

US Attorney to Deport Three Suspects in Brian Terry Murder - Getting the Witnesses Out of Town??

Hey Eric, can you cover my ATF guys?News just in from the US Attorney's office in Phoenix about suspects in the US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's murder.  In a statement from US Attorney's spokesman Robbie Sherwood, two suspects have already pled guilty pleas to charges of illegal entry and will be deported to Mexico.  A third suspect is expected to do the same thing tomorrow.

Agent Brian Terry Murder - DOJ Adds to the Cover-up

As we approach the two month anniversary of the murder of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry serious controversies are coming out of this case. There are questions the family of Brian Terry deserves answers to. Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa is hot on the trail of this story. This week, Sen. Grassley sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder rebutting a previous letter of denial from Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich.
