The following interview with Texas State Representative Jason Isaac is one of a series of interviews conducted by VOCES Action and TexasGOPVote with members of the Hispanic Republican Conference in the 82nd session of the Texas Legislature. Rep. Isaac is a member of the Texas House of Representatives representing District 45, which includes Blanco, Hays, and Caldwell Counties.

Rep. Isaac had a few minutes to come off the House floor to step outside to speak with us for a short interview. He told us why he got involved in politics. The following interview with Texas State Representative Rodney Anderson is one of a series of interviews conducted by VOCES Action and TexasGOPVote with members of the Hispanic Republican Conference in the 82nd session of the Texas Legislature. Rep. Anderson is a member of the Texas House of Representatives representing District 106, which includes Grand Prairie, Irving, and part of Dallas. Rep. Anderson is a freshman in the House of Representatives. We had a good conversation where he shared with me why he decided to get involved in politics.

District 106 is composed of a majority of minorities. Rep. Anderson explained how he spent 6 months getting to know the community, knocking on over 15,000 doors

The following interview with Representative Tom Craddick is one of a series of interviews conducted by VOCES Action and TexasGOPVote with members of the Hispanic Republican Conference in the 82nd session of the Texas Legislature. Speaker Craddick is a member of the Texas House of Representatives from House District 82 representing the counties of Crane, Upton, Midland, Martin, and Dawson.

On January 11, 2003, after thirty-four years in the House, Rep. Craddick became the first Republican Speaker in more than 130 years. He held the presiding officer's position for six years.

I asked Rep. Craddick about his values and what shaped those values and about the issues that are important to his district. We also discussed the oil and gas industry and its importance to his district and to all of Texas. Speaker Craddick also explained that he is a member of the Hispanic Republican Conference

The following interview with Texas Representative John Garza one of a series of interviews conducted by VOCES Action and TexasGOPVote with members of the Hispanic Republican Conference in the 82nd session of the Texas Legislature. Rep. Garza is a member of the Texas House of Representatives from House District 117, located in part of Bexar County. Video and a transcript of the interview are included.

I asked Rep. Garza about his values, Hispanics and Republicans, his district and affordability, education, the business community and his faith.  I also asked Rep. Garza to explain to us a little bit about the House Concurrent Resolution 88 (HCR 88) and what he would like to accomplish with it since he is an author of this resolution. He explained that HCR 88 urges Congress to
