The Republican Caucus welcomes John Cyrier and Leighton Schubert as the Newest Members to the Texas House Republican Caucus

(Austin, Texas) - Today, House Republican Caucus Chairman Tan Parker welcomed newly elected State Representatives John Cyrier (R-Lockhart) and Leighton Schubert (R-Caldwell) to the Texas House Republican Caucus. “I look forward to working with both of these great conservatives. Representatives Cyrier and Schubert’s respective expertise in the areas of business and law will be a great contribution to our membership. We are lucky to have them on board.” Cyrier and Schubert become the 97th and 98th House members to join the Texas House Republican Caucus in the 84th Texas Legislative Session.

Representative Cyrier, a Texas Business owner and experienced community leader said, “I am thrilled and honored to be joining the Caucus and look forward to using my business experience to contribute ideas on how we as Republicans can grow our state more efficiently, eliminate wasteful spending, and run our state more like a business.”

Representative Schubert, a rural Texas attorney said, “I am excited to be joining the Texas House Republican Caucus and I hope to hit the ground running. As an attorney practicing in a rural area, I am required to have a broad understanding of the law and how it affects every day Texans; I hope to bring that common sense approach to the Texas House.”

The Caucus is looking forward to welcoming both Representatives Cyrier and Schubert as they start in their new positions today.
