Pete Sessions Statement on the August Jobs Report

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding the August unemployment report:

Today’s jobs report is a clear indication that the President’s reliance on overregulation, onerous taxes, and executive fiats is holding our economy back and preventing the robust job growth that hard working Americans need and deserve. While we have seen some positive signs of improvement, wages remain stagnant and the number of people participating in the labor force is the lowest it has been in almost four decades. We can and must do more. I look forward to working with my Republican colleagues to implement common sense, conservative solutions that reinvigorate our economy and put Americans back to work.
