Platform Committee Member Roxanne Lewis Reports From RPT 2010 Convention

Despite speaking to her during our SD meeting,  as well as being one of the first people to arrive and sign in at the platform committee meeting,  Ms. Lewis refused to hear a resolution on repealing the Texas Driver Responsibility Surcharge Program. The resolution was passed at the SD convention and was backed by over 5,000 Texans.

Friday's Platform committee meeting was very unorganized and   inefficient.  No one was provided a copy of the new platform or the committee's revisions (until the final vote the next day).  At least an hour was wasted on testimony regarding a section of the platform that had already been corrected.
