Protecting the Innocent

Last Friday, thousands of Americans descended on Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life. Participants in the March for Life, whose mission is "to provide all Americans with a place to testify to the beauty of life and the dignity of each human person," walked a route from the Washington Monument to the Supreme Court, carrying signs and banners encouraging the end of abortion.

It's wonderful to see people fighting for the unborn. I have a 100% rating from National Right to Life and am committed to protecting and defending life. That's why last week, I voted for, and the House passed, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. This legislation makes the Hyde Amendment permanent, ensuring no taxpayer dollars are used to fund abortions.
