Sarah Palin Targeted Again! Tragedy Upon Tragedy!

"My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona. On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice." - Sarah Palin

FLAGS FLY HALF MAST - DC

On Saturday as I was searching to get the latest news on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Fox News was reporting that she had been killed and a left wing blogger was directly blaming Sarah Palin for her death using the SARAHPAC crosshair campaign map. The Left is so politically opportunistic that we have to wait for the dust to settle before we know what has actually happened. The Left together with the MSM is eager to blame Conservatives, Republicans, the Tea Party movement if we misspeak, act foolishly or commit any act of violence even before it happens. The tragedy in Tucson, Arizona was a shocking act committed by a deranged young man. His demented and hateful actions hurt not only the families of the victims but all Americans. He killed US District Judge John Roll and attempted to assassinate Congresswoman Giffords. A total of six people have died as a result of his rampage. The murder of the 9 year old girl just beginning her life, in particular, will surely be used as an example for gun control advocates. As we all know, criminals will always have access to weapons for their evil deeds. The shooter’s actions gave the Left and the MSM an opportunity for playing the blame game and in so doing reasons to pass more laws restricting our liberties.

Enter Congressman Robert Brady (D) from Pennsylvania, who was already on TV pouncing at the opening to be the ‘Hero’ by saying that he is introducing a Bill for the protection of Congressmen or federal officials to have the same protection as the president. He would like to make it a federal crime to use language or any symbol like a bull’s eye or crosshairs that could be perceived as a threat to federal elected officials. We should not be afraid to speak our minds in fear of being imprisoned. While I agree that we live in troubled times and that all of us should be aware of our surroundings, I don’t believe any more laws can stop this kind of action from ever happening again. Why are we fooled by paper laws? Laws printed on paper do not guarantee our safety any more than traffic lights guarantee that we won’t have car accidents. We are slowly seeing our freedoms erode right before our eyes.

It is my belief that anger and politics make for a volatile mix. It is Obama himself that has used words to incite. At a fundraiser in Pennsylvania in 2008 he used these words, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun”. And who can forget his words, “argue with neighbors, get in their face” tactic during his campaign. The Left screams at the Right for being incendiary but has no clue that we also want a voice. The Left pointing its finger at the Right is not only hypocritical but ridiculous. But maybe it is time we all tone down our rhetoric. If only the MSM would do the same. It is unfortunate that Sarah and the Tea Party movement are being blamed for the Arizona tragedy that took the lives of innocent people. All of America is saddened and horrified by this violent act perpetrated by someone so full of hate and rage. The shooter executed this heinous act and he alone should be punished not the American people. Our prayers and condolences go out to the families of the victims. We wish Congresswoman Giffords a speedy recovery.
