Deputy District Director J.D. Kennedy Recognized for Service in the Marine Corps

I’m proud I hire veterans and have had many former service members work for me since I began serving in Congress, including my current Deputy District Director, JD Kennedy. JD was recently recognized for his service in the Marine Corps by the El Campo Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 1069 President Leonard Sternadel. Sternadel welcomed home veterans of Desert Storm, Grenada, Iraq, and Afghanistan in a ceremony dedicated to our nation’s youngest generation of veterans. The VVA highlighted the importance of forming a support group and pledged its support to the younger veterans. JD deployed three times to Iraq, and in addition to his other duties, is responsible for veterans outreach for my District Offices.
