Increasing Sanctions on North Korea

The last few months have seen increased provocation from Kim Jong Un and the North Korean government, as they continue to develop nuclear weapons and threaten the rest of the world. That's why the House voted overwhelmingly last week to institute tougher sanctions against the North Korean regime. These sanctions target the North Korean shipping industry as well as countries that utilize North Korean slave labor. By cutting off a large source of cash flow that funds North Korean nuclear missile development, the United States is sending a strong message to the Kim regime that continued escalation will not be tolerated. I’m also happy to see President Trump has been able to engage China, North Korea’s largest trading partner, in helping reign in the rogue nation.
