Thinking of Joining the Military?

Young men and women interested in attending one of our nation’s military academies are invited to attend my Service Academy Night along with their parents. The event is open to those ages 17 to 21 and freshmen, sophomore, and junior students in high school who are considering applying in the future. There will be lots of information available and people to answer questions. The Service Academy Night will help students and parents learn more about the nomination and admissions process.

It will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial High School, 3750 Cimarron, Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

A second event will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at VISD Conference Center, 2909 Miori Lane, Victoria, TX 77901.

Next month there will be a regional Service Academy Day on Sat., Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tompkins High School, 4400 Falcon Landing Blvd, Katy, TX 77494. Members of Congress, Congressional staff, military liaisons, and parent groups will be able to answer questions for those wanting to serve as an officer in the Armed Forces. This event is for students, parents, counselors, and educators.
