Pete Sessions Statement on CBO’s Updated Budget & Economic Outlook Report

Today’s dismal forecast from the non-partisan CBO underscores the need for the Obama Administration and Washington Democrats to join House Republicans’ efforts to replace the looming defense cuts and stop the tax hike. My colleagues in the House and I have already passed legislation to stop the job-destroying tax increase set to take effect in January and to replace the sequester with common-sense reforms and spending cuts.   Read more »

ObamaCare Slush Funds Fuel Dems’ Wasteful Spending Addiction

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a political committee devoted to maintaining and increasing the 239-member Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Recent revelations about ObamaCare’s slush funds are shocking even by Democrats’ standards. Taxpayer-funded grants under the government takeover of healthcare were apparently paying for “urban gardening” projects and bike clubs:

Congressman Pete Sessions' Taco Bueno Visit

This past week, I had the opportunity to visit the Taco Bueno Headquarters in Dallas to learn more about the company and also how federal laws impact it. Taco Bueno has over 3,000 employees nationwide and the majority of those employees are in the state of Texas.

Conservatism Reloaded

In college I was a fierce Texas hold 'em player. Still it wasn't at the tables that I learned one of life's greatest lessons, that a loaded gun beats a full house any day. Political warfare has positioned conservatives with a royal flush since we can point back to our Founding Fathers, the Constitution, history and how the American way has led to our rise as the alpha country in the world.   Read more »
