PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT

This court will come to order. There is an old activist movie called “Billy Jack” that is remembered for only one line in it. “When policemen break the law, there is no law.”

Well, today I want to talk to you about a more serious offense and a more serious issue called Prosecutorial Misconduct.

Today is the last day of stimulus funding for the loan guarantee program that infamously backed now-bankrupt Solyndra with a $535 million loan—and Obama’s Department of Energy is doing its best to make sure there’s no money left in the bank when the fund expires at midnight.   Read more »

The June 14th weekly Dallas County Commissioners’ Court public meeting yielded fewer fireworks than the previous week’s, but more troubling conduct by some of our Commissioners. Last week the Democrat-controlled DCCC, after three earlier public hearings and community/activist input that formed the basis of the only working map the public knew about, hoicked out of nowhere, and voted to pass, a “surprise” map that flipped the numbers of two districts, effectively eliminating the right of voters in the only clearly Republican-majority district to elect their Commissioner on the statutorily established four-year cycle.

At the June 7th, 2011 meeting of the Democrat-controlled Dallas County Commissioners’ Court (DCCC), the majority pulled a last-minute switch of redistricting maps—introducing and passing at the same meeting a new map that no one in the public (or even Commissioner Dickey) had seen before that day.

The Republican Party of Texas is under attack. This attack does not come from the outside, but rather it comes from the inside. Does the term RINO come to mind? Well it should. RINO is a term used to describe a REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY. These are people who run as Republicans but do not share the values of the Republican Party of Texas Platform. Yet another person falls victim to the unethical behavior of Dallas Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson as an executive with DFW Airport is suspended amid questions of a scholarship Johnson gave to his daughter according to the Dallas Morning News (DMN) today (10-13-10). The $1000 scholarship was given to the daughter
