Hidalgo County Sheriff may have Killer of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Custody - Fast and Furious Update

Gustavo Cruz-LozanoUpdate:  ABC/Univision is reporting that the FBI has said that Cruz-Lozano lied about killing Agent Brian Terry in order to get attention.  See details at ABC News.

As the debate of gun control crescendos across America, there are signs of a potentially major development in the murder case of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Yesterday, the Hidalgo County Texas Sheriff's Department arrested a Mexican national, Gustavo Cruz-Lozano, on charges of making terroristic threats against Sheriff Lupe Treviño on July 25th of last year. My sources said that Cruz-Lozano has told the sheriff's investigators that he was the shooter in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Who Really Represents YOU?

Dear Fellow Voters,

Early Voting has begun in Texas and will run through May 25, with Primary Day being May 29. We have a responsibility to be informed voters and choose the candidate who will best represent our values and interests. From following the 34th Congressional District Race, I have become increasingly weary of candidate Jessica Puente-Bradshaw, who campaigns as the "real conservative" but is up to her neck in DEBT and is beholden to special interests outside of our state. As a concerned citizen, I took the time to "follow the money" and found some interesting, yet disturbing, facts.   Read more »

Why Adela Garza is the Right Candidate to Represent Texas Congressional District 34

Adela Garza is a longtime resident of the Rio Grande Valley and a true servant to her community.

South Texas Politics - Interview with Chuck Stewart, President, McAllen Tea Party

Price and Stewart - South Texas PoliticsOur series of interviews exploring South Texas Politics continues in McAllen Texas as I interview Mr. Chuck Stewart, President, McAllen Tea Party Association. I was surprised to learn this, but the Tea Party is strong and alive in the Rio Grande Valley. Stewart informed me there were also Tea Party groups in Brownsville, Harlingen and even the nation's first (if not only) Hispanic Tea Party.   Read more »

South Texas Politics - State Rep Jose Aliseda Endorses Adela Garza for US Congress District 34

State Rep Jose AlisedaAs part of exploring South Texas Politics, I had the opportunity to visit with outgoing District 43 Texas State Rep. Jose Aliseda in Beeville just before the Bee County Republican Round-Up. Aliseda is a great public servant. He has served the people of Bee County as County Attorney and County Judge. He has also served the people of Texas as a State Representative and a member of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. As he is running unopposed, he will also serve Bee County next year as the new District Attorney.

All this to say, it is no small thing that this servant of the people has endorsed Adela Garza in her race to be the first Congressional Representative for the newly created 34th Congressional District. In the video interview below,

South Texas Politics - Interview with Texas Rep JM Lozano - Energy and Agriculture

"The Texas Democratic Party is no longer the party of Texas," according to Texas State Rep. J.M. Lozano. "They are the party of San Francisco." These are comments from Texas' newest Republican state legislator during an interview with TexasGOPVote about the changing politics of South Texas.

During the past couple of years, South Texas has been moving more and more to the Republican party as its residents begin to understand the Democrat
