In a move that has left many scratching their heads and a few scrambling to figure out what Congressional District they want to run in, Clinton-appointed Federal Judge Orlando Garcia today released a proposed redistricting map for Texas. The new map makes wholesale changes to the map drawn by the Texas Legislature (as required by the US Constitution). 
Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Congressional District 25 Republican candidate and former Mayor of Highland Village, Texas, Dianne Costa. This is the fourth of five parts of this interview. This segment focuses on Mayor Costa's overview of CD-25.

The University of Houston played host to a public hearing by the Texas House/Senate Redistricting Committees on Saturday, November 20. Nearly 200 members of the public and a few concerned Members of Congress showed up to express their opinions about one of the most important activities of the upcoming legislative sessions. Redistricting will effect the boundaries of US Congressional Districts and those of the Texas House and Senate. It will also determine the placement of the four ADDITIONAL Congressional Seats Texas is expected to receive.
