When I first heard of “2016: Obama’s America,” I was pretty skeptical. I was afraid this was just going to be another movie bashing President Obama. I would not say I’m a defender of the President; in fact, I have been pretty frustrated with his poor performance and it was this frustration that I was afraid of seeing in the movie. The movie 2016: Obama's America gives us insight into the real Obama in a well-produced documentary, but then when you have one of Hollywood's better film makers, Gerald Molen on board, a well-produced film should be expected. Dinesh D’Souza contrasts his own view of America with Obama's as both men were born the same year and part of the same generation. Near the beginning of the movie, D’Souza noted about living in India, “In India, my life would be given to me, but in America, I could construct my own life.”   Read more »

It was in DC during CPAC-2012 that I first heard Dinesh D’Souza speak about his film, Obama’s America 2016, and I was there to see the first trailer and hear him describe the film. On Saturday, August 18, 2012, Bill and I went to see D’Souza’s much anticipated documentary. The theatre auditorium was full except for a few seats up in the front section.
