Date for RNC Committeewoman Election Set

Republican Party of Texas - Under the bylaws of the Texas Republican Party, a vacancy of the position of Committeeman or Committeewoman shall be filled at a specially called meeting of the State Republican Executive Committee to take place within 20 to 30 days of the vacancy. The bylaws specify that the State Chairman set the date of such a meeting. Chairman Steve Munisteri called a meeting of the Officials Committee on Friday, March 22 to discus potential dates as well as potential rules. It was unanimously agreed on by members of the Officials Committee to recommend to the Chairman that Saturday April 6 be the date of the election, as that was the only Saturday available during the time period allowed by the bylaws.   Read more »

"We've Heard It All Before" Video Compares Obama's 2008 and 2012 Speeches

The Republican National Committee has released a video comparing Obama's speeches from 2008 and 2012. The similarities are uncanny! After four years, you would think his campaign could have at least attempted to come up with different ways to say the same things... See for yourself in the video below. The American people must not be duped again!   Read more »

Update from Republican National Convention

Tuesday night featured many prominent conservative women and minorities, counteracting the liberal message of division. While the Democrat Party loves to set us against each other, the Republican Party focused on a theme of "We Built It". We as Americans, regardless of race or gender, have worked hard to build a better America. The RNC's opening illustrated how any one of us can succeed through hard work

Texas GOP Chairman is FOR Winner Take All – It’s Fair & Grassroots Want It

Rick Santorum has made the decision to drop out of the 2012 Republican Presidential race. I believe it has to do with tending to his ill daughter. This does not affect the push to have an Emergency Texas GOP SREC Meeting to change our rules back to Winner Take All. The push for Winner Take All has never been about Santorum for me. It has always been about not being bullied, making Texas relevant, and going back to the Winner Take All delegate plan that the Republicans in Texas voted to have at the State Convention.

The State Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas has come out and expressed support for Texas going back to Winner Take All. He also explained why the Texas GOP has a good reason to qualify for a waiver if needed due to our circumstances, and also explained that the National Convention Delegates (not the RNC) would vote to make the ultimate decision of whether or not Texas should be penalized.

Texas “Winner Take All” is NOT about Romney or Santorum. It is about TEXAS

Texas MUST go to Winner Take All in order to be relevant in this Presidential Election. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain! This has nothing to do with Santorum or Romney. It is about TEXAS. Also, the RNC and DOJ cannot stop us or scare us!

I am a Santorum supporter and I am a Texas GOP SREC member in favor of an Emergency Meeting to go to Winner Take All, but it is very important to make it clear that I have been for winner take all

Should Texas go Winner Take All? RNC Changing Presidential Primary Rules?

Should the Republican Party of Texas go back to winner take all?

The State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) will vote on Feb 29th, 2012 to change the rules and approve a Temporary Convention/Delegate Selection Plan. Should the SREC vote to also change the RPT Presidential Delegate Selection Rule 38 from proportional back to winner take all? Also, should the RPT change the rules to allow the presidential delegates to be uncommitted after the first committed vote at the National Convention?

Federal Court Orders April 3rd, 2012 Texas Primary Election – RPT Must Stand Up to RNC

Redistricting Update: San Antonio Federal Court signs order pushing all Texas Primary Elections back to just one date, April 3rd, 2012. No split Primary dates.

When the US Supreme Court took up the Texas Redistricting Case, I wrote an article explaining that the likely thing to happen would be a split primary (March and May) with some of the elections, including the Presidential Primary Election, happening in March and the rest of the elections being pushed back until May so that the US Supreme Court can make a ruling.

Is the RNC Still Relevant?

The departure of Michael Steele as Republican National Committee Chairman is a welcome change in leadership. Let us hope that the new Party Chair, Reince Priebus, will be successful in the task of digging the RNC out of the $22 million deficit and returning to the recruitment and support of conservatives who respect and support the Constitution.   Read more »

Reince Priebus Elected Chairman of the Republican National Committee

Wisconsin GOP Chairman Reince Priebus was elected Chairman of the Republican National Committee today to replace Michael Steele.

"I am here to earn the trust and support of each and every one of you. I am going to start working right now as your chairman. We all recognize that there is a steep hill here ahead of us, and the only way we will be able to move forward is if we're all together."
