Voice of the Conservative Vote: David Pineda

David is the Candidate for Texas House of Representatives, District 144, in Pasadena, TX.

David grew up in north Pasadena. He attended Kruse Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Pasadena High School. He is one of seven children, all of whom still live in Pasadena and the greater Houston area. David has given back throughout his life, serving as a member of the Lone Star Veterans Association, as well as the Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America. He also volunteered in an orphanage in Japan and mentored at-risk children in Pasadena. His service started young, when in high school he became actively involved in the Pasadena Police Youth Enrichment Service program, which provided opportunities to participate in various community service projects.

David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 2002-2008. He was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal. He went on to be selected to the prestigious Special Duty of Marine Embassy Guard, where he had the distinct honor of guarding several U.S. Embassies, including Kabul, Afghanistan, Sofia, Bulgaria and Muscat, Oman. He guarded Vice President Cheney during a visit to Abu Dhabi. He is a graduate of The University of St. Thomas and a substitute teacher in Pasadena ISD.
