White House Social Secretary and Celebutante Desiree Rogers Resigns

White House Social Staff Secretary and Chicago celebutante Desiree Rogers has announced she will leave her post next month. Ms. Rogers was missing from her post on the evening of the first White House State Dinner with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Two uninvited guests (or were they invited?) Tareq and Michaele Salahi managed to get into the party and even take their picture with the president.

Desiree Rogers has previously defended criticism of her not doing her job properly by claiming that as social secretary, there is so much to do, and being the White House gatekeeper is not a priority. Well, that's a little unprofessional... She's lucky the "party crashers" were harmless- what if it had been a terrorist that had tried to sneak in?
