Texas Victory Is Working Towards Republican Wins!

Republican Party of Texas - With less than three weeks left in this election cycle, Texas Victory 2012 is fully operational and working towards Republican wins up and down the ballot! This recap contains a full update on the political operations and volunteer power that is helping to drive this year's efforts.

First, Texas Victory 2012 is now operating FIVE Victory Center phone banks across the state to make live volunteer calls into targeted races.

These centers are located in:

Arlington - Houston - Pasadena - San Antonio - San Patricio County

Additionally, there is a sixth center that is operating in Clear Lake and our political team is working to keep them fully supplied with contact phone numbers and support for their efforts.

These call centers are operating at or near full capacity and we are seeing tremendous results with over 500,000 phone calls made from our Victory Centers in 2012. This month, the Victory Center in San Antonio made over 23,000 phone calls in one day during the Super Saturday event! This center has consistently performed as one of the top Victory Centers in the entire country - special thanks goes out to Spencer Yeldell and his team of volunteers for a job well done!

This past week, RPT Chairman Steve Munisteri spent time at the Houston Victory Center helping to recruit volunteers for the phone banks at the location on Richmond Avenue co-located with the Harris County GOP headquarters. Special thanks goes to SuZanne Feather and Kim Jessup for their assistance in coordinating the volunteer schedules for this location! Our call center in Arlington has consistently been turning in top numbers thanks in large part to the hard work of North Texas coordinator Leslie Recine and her team of volunteers. Leslie's office has also hosted a number of well-attended events and rallies over the past few weeks since their grand opening! The Pasadena and San Patricio centers are also seeing steady streams of volunteers and the enthusiasm is continuing to build for our Republican ticket every day.

Victory has also begun launching a series of paid phone contacts for targeted races around Texas and we are identifying thousands of Republican voters every night through these efforts. Additionally, Victory has covered the costs for making phone follow-ups into the new movers file of Republican voters who have recently moved into Texas. This ID and GOTV work is crucial to bolstering the overall Republican slate and could prove to be the difference in many of our competitive races.

One of the critical areas of focus for the Republican Party of Texas is in Dallas County, where we have several targeted State House races and the county is evenly split along partisan lines. Victory has dedicated funds to hire staff to help the Dallas County Republican Party with organizational needs and to coordinate their volunteer efforts, including Dallas County GOP's own phone banking program. We are thankful to County Chairman Wade Emmert for engaging in a cooperative effort with the State Party and for the fine work they are doing in that county with their center!

Also, as you may remember - this month, Victory launched the call-from-home program which allows Republicans from around the state to create an online account and reach voters in targeted races with pre-written scripts and questions. This program is targeting key races from the Texas House to U.S. Congress and will be fully operational through Election Day. There will be exciting prizes available for our top participants in the Call From Home program so sign up today to begin making calls!

By far, one of the largest and most impactful projects undertaken by Victory this fall has been the over-65 Early Vote By Mail initiative. Through this project, over 650,000 Texas Republicans over the age of 65 received full-color, individualized postcards that made it convenient to request an absentee ballot for the November election. To date, over 95,000 Republicans have returned those cards to their local elections office!

Victory has also been able to pay for several rounds of direct mail pieces in target races across Texas. We have sent many rounds of full-color mailers into some of our Texas House District races and helped to launch a full complement of mailers into the critical race to help re-elect U.S. Congressman Francisco "Quico" Canseco as well!

Our Republican statewide elected officials have graciously put their support and energy behind Victory in 2012, and we are very grateful especially to Senator John Cornyn's Alamo PAC and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison's KPAC, Governor Rick Perry, Attorney General Greg Abbott, Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples and State Comptroller Susan Combs for their financial support and help with our efforts! U.S. Senate nominee Ted Cruz has also been a generous contributor to Victory and we look forward to celebrating his win on November 6th!

These efforts would not be possible without the generous financial support of many Texans and elected officials who have contributed to the Victory organization to help fund these projects. These include: William Clark, Elloine Clark, Drayton McLane, Gary Heavin, Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation, BNSF RAILPAC, Doug Pitcock, John Nau, Harold Simmons and James Flores.

We would also like to thank some of our current candidates, Republican groups and elected officials whose generous contributions have helped to bring these programs to fruition, including: State Representatives Jason Isaac, Jim Jackson, Linda Harper-Brown, Dee Margo and John Otto, Republican nominee for House District 136 Tony Dale, the Republican Party of Galveston County, 1st Court of Appeals Justices Jane Bland, Harvey Brown, Terry Jennings, Michael Massengale, Rebeca Huddle, 14th Court of Appeals Justices Brett Busby, Jeff Brown and Martha Hill Jamison and 14th Court of Appeals candidate John Donovan, U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling, U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant, U.S. Congresswoman Kay Granger, State Senators Brian Birdwell, Glenn Hegar, Joan Huffman, Dan Patrick and Tommy Williams, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Harris County Commissioner Jack Cagle.

We would also like to thank all of our attendees at our recent fundraiser in Houston with Special Guest Republican Senate nominee Ted Cruz. We had a fantastic crowd show up to join us for breakfast and were honored to hear from Ted Cruz, Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples and Victory Chairman Ed Emmett during the Friday morning event.

Also in the Houston area, we were pleased that former U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate Rick Santorum joined us for a Victory fundraiser on Monday! The luncheon was well attended and all of our guests were treated to a fantastic event with Senator Santorum. Special thanks goes to Jessica Colón for her assistance in coordinating this event!

Through these supporters and their contributions, as of today we can report that Texas Victory 2012 has now obtained full funding for all of its preliminary political plans. Any additional funding will allow us to expand the size and scope of these efforts so please consider making a contribution today!

Finally, please keep in mind that these last few weeks are absolutely critical to the success of our ticket and we need all possible volunteers to step forward and participate! If you have not already done so, please sign up to take part in one of our statewide blockwalks happening during each of the last three weekends of the election on October 20-21, October 27-28 and November 3-4. An online signup form is available via the Texas Victory website.
