Bryan Underwood Calls for Comprehensive Spending Reform

The following press release was sent in from GOP candidate Bryan Underwood's campaign:

Friday Bryan Underwood, Republican candidate for Texas’ 28th Congressional District, called on Congress to implement comprehensive spending reform.

Mr. Underwood made the call in response to the Federal Government’s continued out-of–control spending and last week’s announcement that the government’s spending in April was nearly four times higher than April 2009.

The United States posted an $82.69 billion dollar deficit in April. An amount staggering to the imagination and four times higher than the out-of-control spending in April 2009.
This level of spending is beyond irresponsible and must be corrected. We are beyond complex economic theory here; Congress needs to apply simple junior high mathematics to its budgeting. We can’t spend billions more than we have in the treasury.
The number one item to include in my plan is the repeal and reform of ObamaCare and 56% of Americans agree with me.
Unfortunately the government led by President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and their supporters, including our incumbent Democrat Henry Cuellar, support this irresponsible spending.
Americans are tired of the business-as-usual crowd in DC. Congress has lost the trust of the average voter. I have a solution.
I ask Texans to join me in my effort to restore common sense conservative leadership to Congress and make sure the government uses our hard earned tax dollars wisely.

Bryan Underwood is a husband, father and small business owner living in Seguin and is now running to represent Texas’ 28th Congressional District. He overcame great adversity in his early adulthood and has been able to pursue the American Dream because he was able to build a family and successful small business through hard work, tenacity and the love of others.

Bryan Underwood wants others to share in the American Dream and calls for lower taxes, less spending, smarter regulation, a conservative judiciary and more freedom for the proud citizens of South and Central Texas.
