Anderson Cooper Investigates Further into Eddie Bernice Johnson's Scholarship Scandal

Last week, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30, Dallas area) was grilled by Anderson Cooper for violating the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) scholarship rules and sneaking scholarship money to her own family members and to her aide's family members. E.B. Johnson has tried many excuses in an attempt to cover her tracks, but none of them seem to be working.

After she claimed there were no students "very worthy" of scholarships in her district, 21-year-old Davetta Carter (whose class ranking, extracurriculars, volunteer hours, and recommendations proved her nothing but a "very worthy" applicant) came forward with a scholarship rejection letter from Eddie Bernice Johnson.

Eddie Bernice Johnson also tried the "I haven't seen the rules" excuse, but that doesn't say much for someone who was the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus in 2002 and served on the board for the next four years.

Next, letters surfaced showing Eddie Bernice Johnson requesting the CBC Scholarship Foundation send the scholarship checks directly to her family members instead of sending the checks to their various colleges, as was standard procedure.

Watch below as Anderson Cooper continues to investigate the matter:

Help vote Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson out by supporting Republican candidate for TX-30, Stephen Broden.
