Hays County Republicans to host RPT Chairman Steve Munisteri

After November 2008, all sights were set on Hays county which was seen by Democrats as a “swing county”. Well, thankfully things didn’t quite work out as the liberal activits, such as MoveOn.org and Organizing for America, had hoped in Hays County. On November 2010, the tables greatly turned and while the Commissioner’s Court was once 4–1, in favor of Democrats, it is now 4–1, Republican!

And that’s just the start of it. On Sunday, January 9th, four Hays County Republican groups will join together in welcoming Republican Party of Texas Chairman, Steve Munisteri to San Marcos, Texas. Fresh off of our 2010 victories, Chairman Munisteri will be in San Marcos to capitalize on this momentum as Republicans gear up for the 82nd Texas Legislature, redistricting, and of course, the 2012 elections.

In addition to Chairman Munisteri, State Representative–elect Jason Isaac (R–HD45), who will be sworn in on January 11th, will be in attendance, as will Dr. Donna Campbell, the Republican who nearly gave liberal Congressman Lloyd Doggett a heart attack. A host of new county and local officials will also be there in order to help celebrate the important victories Republicans scored in Hays county.

If you will be in the San Marcos area Sunday, please make an effort to come by and hear our party’s chairman, Steve Munisteri, and other party leaders lay out their vision for the future. This event, while hosted by Hays County Republican clubs, is not exclusive to residents of Hays county; I will actually be driving in from San Antonio for the event that evening.
