“FREEDOM IS NOT FREE” – the STORMING of the WWII MEMORIAL

The Obama Administration has perpetrated assault after assault on the American people while the news media stands by with their pens pointed at the Tea Party, Conservatives, Christians and now the Veterans. How much more will the American people stand before the boiling point. Or are we there?

The government shutdown can be totally blamed on the president of these United States because of his lack of leadership or willingness to negotiate. He does not have the American fortitude to bring our America to fruition. Besides who is to say that Obama does not have us just where he wants us, financially, morally and emotionally crippled.

Shutting down the open air World War II memorial and the rest of the memorials in DC and national parks throughout our nation on October 1st is just part of Obama’s vindictiveness to hurt the American people. It is unbelievable that so many of Obama’s minions are going along with his torturous shutdown scheme. But it will be a cold day in Hell when one nefarious man can bring down our WWII heroes. If they were able to storm the beaches of Normandy in 1944, simple barricades will not keep them from viewing ‘their’ tribute. So they ‘stormed’ the barricaded memorial.

The WWII memorial was funded mostly by private contributions as specified in Public Law 103-32. So for Obama to decide to keep our heroes away is simply and utterly ridiculous.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) made the following statement:
President Obama is so fixated on forcing Obamacare on the American people that he's even willing to deny World War II veterans the right to access the memorial they have earned through their heroic service.

"This scenario encapsulates the bigger problem in Washington. President Obama is so set on imposing his destructive, far-left ideology that his government is literally barricading World War II veterans out of their memorial and blocking funding to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Senator Cruz proposed a bill to fund all parts of the VA during the government shutdown. Roll Call Vote:

Don’t be fooled by the media saying that we have ‘permission from the Department of Interior’, under our First Amendment we have the ‘right of the people to peacefully assemble’. As the Viet Nam and Korean memorials are also open air monuments. There is no charge to walk through any of the three.

Even in the frailty of our veterans we see and feel their strength, the men and women of the Greatest Generation will live forever!
