Gordy Bunch Scores Grand Slam Of Media Endorsements For Senate

The following is a press release from the Gordy Bunch for Texas Senate campaign.

The Woodlands, TX, May 4, 2014 – The major newspapers in Senate District 4 have all independently endorsed the candidacy of Gordy Bunch for the vacant seat in the Texas Senate. The “grand slam” group includes the Houston Chronicle, Beaumont Enterprise, Beaumont Examiner, and the Houston Community Newspaper chain, which is led by the daily Conroe Courier and includes The Woodlands Villager and Kingwood Observer.

The Conroe Courier said “Bunch brings more valuable experience to Senate District 4 special election.” The Beaumont Examiner pointed at the group of candidates by saying: “What Gordy Bunch has done in his 41 years of life outshines the totality of what the other candidates offer combined – and we could use a little more of that from our leaders.” The Houston Chronicle headlined that “Gordy Bunch’s business experience makes him the right choice to represent District 4.” And, the Beaumont Enterprise chimed in with: “Gordy Bunch is best choice for state Senate in District 4.”

Early voting is underway in this special election called by Governor Perry to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Senator Tommy Williams who left to join the Texas A&M system. Voting continues on Monday and Tuesday, May 5 and 6, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout District 4. Election Day is the day before Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 10, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Further information on Gordy Bunch and the election can be found at www.GordyBunchforTexas.com.
