Rick Perry - Right on Social Security Ponzi Scheme

Rick Perry is right! And, he is sticking to his guns! He said it in his book. He said it in the CNN Presidential Debate. He said it again today in USAToday. And, he will say it again tonight in the next Presidential Debate. Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme.  It is. Period... end of story.

Now, what his opponents (who are now in the position of having to attack Perry from the left) and the mainstream liberal media (also attacking from the left) won't tell you is, Perry also said he would not do away with the program, nor change how it is delivered to people currently receiving Social Security, nor those who are about to receive the payments. In other words, they are lying.

Maybe, just maybe, seniors will not vote against Rick Perry for saying what needs to be said and because what he said will not negatively impact them. Perhaps instead, they will vote against Mit Romney and the Seven Dwarfs for lying to their grandchildren...

Seniors need not buy into the lies being told by Perry's Republican opponenets.  And they certainly should have learned by now, not to trust the same liberal media who hides the fact from them that it is Obama who has cut their Medicare benefits with Obamacare.

In Perry's Op-ed piece today in USAToday, he said, "As I said at the Reagan Library recently, Social Security benefits for current recipients and those nearing retirement must be protected. For younger workers, we must consider reforms to make Social Security financially viable." Anything wrong with that?  I think he is right on target.

Perry continued, "Last year, annual Social Security outlays exceeded annual revenues for the first time since 1983. By 2037, retirees will only get roughly 76 cents back for every dollar that is put into Social Security unless reforms are implemented. Imagine how long a traditional retirement or investment plan could survive if it projected investors would lose 24% of their money?"

Perry concluded by saying, "We must have a frank, honest national conversation about fixing Social Security to protect benefits for those at or near retirement while keeping faith with younger generations, who are being asked to pay."

Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme. If anyone besides the Feds had tried to pull this off, they would be in prison.  Thank God Rick Perry has the courage to say what needs to be said. But will Congress have the courage to do what must be done? And will his Primary Election Opponents remember they are supposed to be Republicans and seek a fiscally sound plan to repair the broke and broken Social Security System?

Watch the Presidential Debate tonight and then come to the TexasGOPVote Facebook page to talk about it.
