Dr. Steve Hotze Recognized for Hispanic Voter Outreach by Republican Hispanic Group

Health and Wellness doctor and political activist, Dr. Steve Hotze, was recognized by Houston based Republican Hispanic Citizens in Action (RHCIA) this week for his efforts on behalf of Conservative Hispanic voter outreach. Dr. Hotze spoke to the RHCIA Tuesday night and outlined his "sensible" plan for immigration reform. The certificate of appreciation was presented by RHCIA Acting-President, immigration attorney and TexasGOPVote blogger, Linda Vega.

Hotze used the opportunity to talk about how Democrats use immigration as a wedge issues to separate Conservative Hispanics from voting Republican where their natural values tend to align. He said groups like FAIR and NumbersUSA present themselves as conservative but in reality they are zero immigration, zero population growth, pro-abortion, environmentalist groups that manipulate Conservatives to pursue their own agenda.

Hotze talked about "sensible immigration" reform and that it should be enacted not only because it is good public policy, but because it is "the right thing to do." He has spoken to people across the nation about this topic and when people will listen, he finds they tend to agree with his position and reasoning.

Earlier this year, Dr. Hotze released a video to the Texas Legislature calling on them to take reasonable steps to protect Texas from the economic calamity that has befallen states which have adopted Arizona style legislation. As a result of his efforts, and many others, Texas was able to fend off legislation that would have continued to drive a wedge between Hispanics and Republican candidates.

To illustrate this, Hotze reminded the audience that in 2010, Gov. Perry garnered 39% of the Hispanic. This vote tended to follow down ballot and led to a swing in the balance of power in the legislature of 25 new Republican seats. Contrast that with California where Republicans pulled only 20% of the Hispanic vote and were virtually wiped out in the 2010 election.

For Texas to remain the shining star of Conservative values and Republican political influence, we must continue to reach out to this rapidly expanding base of Hispanic voters.  Many are Conservative and are willing to listen to Republican candidates when we respect them for their culture, heritage and values. Congratulations to Dr. Hotze for the outstanding work he has done and continues to do for Texas Republicans.

Dr. Hotze went on to talk about his background as a medical doctor and his philosophies on health and wellness.  Dr. Hotze is the founder of the Hotze Health and Wellness Center and hosts a radio talk show on Houstons AM 700 KSEV, "Dr. Hotzes Health and Wellness Solutions". The show is heard daily from 12-1 pm.
