Congressman Tony Gonzales Announces $1 Million in FAA Grants for Del Rio International Airport

I recently announced over $1 million in grant money from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Del Rio International Airport. This grant provides economic relief funds for costs related to cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, and combating the spread of COVID-19 at the airport, among others. The funds were directed from the Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act, passed in 2020.

As travel across our state picks back up, we need to make sure our airports have the resources they need for increased use. This grant will allow the Del Rio Airport to ensure that their operations are well-equipped to stop the spread of COVID-19 and help our communities return to normalcy.
